MOANATAIRI.

Another lode 18 incites thick has been intersected in the Nonpareil cross cut, but does not appear to be of much value. The manager's report for the week is as follows :—" Tunnel level—Nonpareil crosscut has been extended 20 feet this week, intersecting another reef 18 inches thick, composed of dark quartz, but containing little mineral. We are going through a good class of country for reefs, and hare 100 feet further to drive through " Crown" section before reaching the Nonpareil boundary. 150 feet of the present drive is going through virgin ground, in which no work has previously been done, and the reefs striking along the " Caledonian " hill should all pass into this ground. Golden Age rise.—-The ground here is , tighter to work. During the past fort- j night our stopes have been yielding low grade stnff and only about half the usual quantity of picked stone has come to hand, consequently the return of gold is low. Point Bussell level.—The stopes above Creek level are yielding poor stuff, and a rise will now be put up to further' prospect the reef. In driving on 100 feet level east the reef is three feet thick bot poor. During the fortnight we have crushed 316 tons for a yield of 2030zs of gold.—l am, &0., Eobekt Comee."
