REWARD.
On Thursday last the tributers Comes and party finished a crushing of about 40 tons for the yield of 48ozs gold. This tribute is paying handsomely, and there is every reason to -believe it will continue. They are quarrying in a face 12 feet wide* all the stuff from which is crushed. With the summer setting in, and this and other mines working on gold, we may expect to see the much-despised Tairua district lifting up its bead.
