Captain Thomson, of the barque Trochaque, has been sentenced to three months' imprisonment for neglecting to rescue the crew of the " W.G.," a catamaran, in the Java seas, while on a voyage to this port. -
Petitions are being lodged against the election of Dr Madden for Sandridge, and Gillies for Kodney.
