In the lower drive the contractors have driven a distance of 38 feet during the fortnight.. The lode is 1£ feet thick and well mineralised. Another crashing will shortly be sent from the Unicorn.winze, and then the men employed in these workings will be shifted to do a little prospecting work in the upper levels of the Twenty-third of June section where there are several promising looking leaders, to which nothing has hitherto been done. ' '
