CALEDONIAN.
This company has started crushing, but ft is not expected to yield well, though an improvement may be looked for. in the next. In the mine things are going on much the same as at the time of the last report. The manager has men stripping the reef at No. 3 level. In the rise the lode has considerably "improved, and the mullock has almost gone from the centre, leaving a solid body of stone towards the hanging-wall. The winze from the No. 2 level is making fair progress, the ground having improved. . A nice looking leader four inches thick and showing; good minerals has been cut in the southern drive at this level. There is nothing new to report in any of the other workings.
