London, August 2. Mr Leopold Griffin, political agent at Kabul, has had an interview with Abdurrahmann, the new Amir, and consulted with him concerning the future government of the country. Abdurrabmann expressed himself as desirous of meeting as far as lay in his power the views of the British authorities, and his demeanour throughout was of a very friendly character. The result of the interview is regarded as highly satisfactory. The Afghans generally welcome Abdurrabmann as Amir. EUBOPE AND THE POBTE.
