NAVAL BRIGADE.
As, Major Withers did not arrive in time to make the inspections last night, that duty was performed by Major Murray. The Brigade mustered in its usual strength, viz:, about 130 of all ranks. There can be no doubt of the esprit dv corps animating the members of this popular branch of the Thames' Volunteers. The neat and trim appearance of the Thames Brigade was the subject of admiring comment by several strangers present at last night's parade. We are justly proud of our blue jackets, and in fact of all our volunteers. The officers of the brigade were present, Captain Wildman, Lieutenants Lawless, Burton and Gordon. The band, under Mr Ardern, performed selections of music during the ceremony of examiuing arms, &c. Lieut. Burton was called to the front, and put the brigade through the manual exercise in a highly satisfactory manner. Lieut. Gordon was also called upon to tell off and prove company. Major Murray expressed satisfaction at the tout ensemble of the corps, and the strong number of all ranks present.
