REUBEN PARR.

Big Beef.—Stoping has been com* menced on the reef in the winze. The quartz has the same appearance as that previously broken, and appears to be about the same grade. Another crushing will be out in about a fortnight. Upper Level.—Good progress is being made in this level. The reef is two and a-balf feet thick, and the footwall portion has a favorable appearance and carries good minerals, and a few colors of gold are seen at tirtes. The manager is saving the quartz, and believes it will improve as it is driven upon.
