The stuff accumulated during the sinking of the winze on the Unicorn lode will be crashed in a day or two and is expected to yield well. The Twenty-third of Jane cross-cat is making good pi ogress ' and great things are expected from this section ef the mine when the drive is under the old run of gold. When that was worked on the surface a winze was a«nk bat the water was so strong that two men bad to bale while others worked on the golden stone, aud eventually the water got the upper hand.
