John Steward, landlord of the Thames Hotel was fined £1 and costs, and Joseph Gillanders, landlord of the Pacific, £2 and costs for selling liquor on Sunday.
At the Supreme Court, the charge against Takomoro, a Maori, for assault is being gone into.
