The City of Sydney, with the London mails of June 17, left San Francisco on the 4th inst., a day before contract time.
Another Jury was etnpannelled to try the Wangarei' shooting- case yesterday,but could not agree. The foreman came into Court and stated this at three and at fiye o'clock, and finally they were looted up for the night like their predecessors. Supreme Court Sittings. In the Wangarei shooting case the jury, after being locked up all night,.came into Court and said they could not agree. The prisoner said he desired to be honorably acquitted, and demanded a third trial. ;",.
Lawlor pleaded guilty to bigamy, and was sentenced to twelve months.
The following were sentenced at the Court this morning on charges of forgery: —Jellingg, to three years; Worms, on three charges, to three years ; McConnel, two years; Hart, to two years; Arren, to three years; Bulninu, to two years; Welch, to two years.
