The long expected No. 7 or Waiotahi lode was interesectcd by the driving contractors to-day. It runs at right angles with the drive, and is about a foot thick.' Where intersected it is somewhat jumbled —a characteristic^ of this lode. The next portion of the programme will be the putting in of a drive on the reef towards winze to connect with which a rise will be necessary. The manager sent the following telegram to his directors: —" The contractors cut number seven lode, but rather, broken up when intersected."—Thos. L. Cbawfobd.
