NEW NORTH DEVON.

On visiting this mine I found the tributers engaged in stoping on a finelooking lode about six feet thick. One of the party informed me that they had seen no gold since they started stoping here. They will be crushing again next week. I learn from a private source that Mr J. Wilcox has received the appointment of mine manager. Mr Wilcox is a thoroughly competent man, and in his career has been remarkably successful as a gold-finder. The directors could not have placed the mine in better hands.
