LUCK'S ALL.
The manager, Mr Jenkins, will, shortly start a party of contractors to continue the lower drive, when the wages men now working there will be shitted to the upper drive. Nothing fresh has occurred in the mine since last report though it is expected several other leaders including the celebrated Luck's All will be to hand in the course of a few weeks. I must correct a mistake made in a previous report, viz., that the upper level is worked out, into which error I dropped through misunderstanding the manager's explanation. This is far from being the fact, indeed only one lode has been wrought to surface, and there are several large and remunerative blocks standing. The services of Mr Bayldon have been engaged for the purpose of making a mining survey, and also for plans fora tramway aud hopper on the level of the road. This work will take perhaps a month to complete, and Mr Jenkins expects to have about 100 tons of good payable quartz to grass by that time.
