The first competition for Capt. Rovre's prize by tho Tnamsa Rifle Rangers took place on Saturday. The ran*es. were 200, 400, 500 yards, five shots at> each range. The usual monthly Church parade of the Naval Brigade aud their younger brothers-iu-arms took place yesterday morning. There was a good muster of members, 145 being preset]t of all ranks. The following officers were present: —Nuvals —Captain Wildmin, Lieutenants Gavin, Lawless, Burton ; and Sub-Lieutenant Q-ordon ; Cadeta —Lieutenant WH'te and Sub-Lieutenanb Boss. Tho band, under tho conductorahip of Mr Ardern, played suitable selections to and from the Church. After the return to the hall, Captain Wildmau thanked thd members for their attendance, and made several company notices. He strongly deprecated the action of certain members of tbo Brigade who did not attend Church, loifceriog about the streets, and he refused any member of the corps not attend*
