London June 16.
The select committee of the House of Commons, which was appointed to further consider the question which arose through Bradlaugh's refusal to take the oath, has presented its report to Parliament. The committee recommends that Bradjaugh should be a'lowed to make m affirmation in the place of the customary oath.
London, June 17.
King George the first of Greece, who is now on a visit to England, was to day presented with the freedom of the City of London. H.R.H. the Prince of Wales performed the ceremony of presentation. The Bight Hon. W. E. Gladstone was present, and made a speech on the occasion in which he warmly sympathised with Greece in her difficulties with Turkey in regard to the frontier question.

Several Spanish war Teasels, eonreying a large number of troops, hare been ordered to the Pacific. Their actual destination, however, is not yet known.
