At a meeting of Licensed Victuallers this afternoon, a deputation was appointed to wait on the brewers.with a view of coming to an arrangement as to how much of the recently imposed lax on beer should be charged to the publicans. This day. Sly Grog Selling. The charges of sly grog selling are proceeding at the Magistrate's Court, None are decided yet. Latee. Bounceby and Smart, oyster saloon keepers, and Mrs Campbell, general storekeeper, were fined £5 each for sly grog selling.
