NEW GOLDEN CROWN.

Since my last report little fresh has transpired in the mine. Some 20 or 30 tons of stuff have been broken from the No. 1 reef at the intermediate lerel, and a few colors of gold were seen. The manager measured up the cross-cut at battery level to-day, and found that it is now 18| feet past the lode. He estimates that he will yet hare to drive 16 feet before he can commence sinking to the old stopes. The back of the old stopes is about 6 feet below the level of the floor of the drive.
