The Argas discussing the present state of political affairs, admits that Mr Service must experience a difficulty in carrying on the Government in the present Assembly, owing to defections from his party. Bbisbane, This day. Legal Malpractices. At the Supreme Court, on the verdict being given agafast Swannick, a barrister and member of the Assembly, which is tantamount to an implication of malpractices, Mr Griffith, the plaintiff's counsel, complained of the menacious attitude of Swannick's brother towards plaintiff.
The Judge ordered the arrest of the brother, who was found carrying a loaded revolver and a sheath 'knife. He was sentenced to imprisonment during the pleasure of the Court, and the Judge in passing sentence regretted he was unable to make it imprisonment for twenty
years.
