NELSON.
Last night.
A fire occurred at Waimea West this morning, when Mr Palmer's hotel was burned to the ground. The landlord, Mr Carridge, loses everything; and Palmer's insurance on the building, which was valued at £BCO, was only £400.
Nothing more has been heard of the requisition calling on Mr Acton A-danis to resign. It is thought it has 'fallen through.
