CLYDE.
A crushing of three loads from this claim at the Queen of Beauty for JNubet and party yielded 7ozs 2dwts which, together with 36ozs 16dwts obtained a few days ago from 281bs stone out of the same parcel, makes a total of 43ozs 18dwts. This claim is situated on the Spur that divided the Moanatairi from Wiseman's Gully and comprises the Christchurch portion of the old Windsor Castle. The reef, known as Port Waikato, from which the above retuin was obtained runs through the centre of the ground, and is intact, very little work having been done upon it. It is the intention of the shareholders to commence and drive on the course of the reef already cut in the low level, as about 60 feet should bring them to the junction of a network of leaders with the main reef, and directly under where the i gold, was obtained in the surface level. This will give 150 feet of backs, the ground in the low level being similar to that in the level above.
