The No. 1 Company T.S.V.
A meeting of the above took place on Saturday evening for the purpose of elect-ing" a Captain and sublieutenant. Mr Robert Comer was elected Captain Without opposition. Sergeant Heron was elected sublieutenant, «nd the vacancies amongst sergeants and corporals vyere filled by seniority. Vols. E. l?nce, Mcjunes, Newman, Mayo, and Brown lee were nominated lance corporals to till the places of those promoted. The newly elected officers thanked the members for the honor which had been conferred on them. At the close oi the meeliug Captain Comer invited all present to adjourn to the Governor Bowrri Hotel, find drink his health, and that also of the newly elected officers. The meeting consequently adjourned, and a most con-ivial evening was spent. The sin^iun of " Auld Lang Syne" brought the meeliug to a close.
