Thames High School.
A meeting of the Governors of the High Schoo' was held at the Borough Chambers this morning, the Chairman, His Worship the Mayor, presiding. • A telegram from Mr Tole, giving the present position of matters regarding the Board's endowment was read, and a committee consisting of Messrs Brodie and Speight was appointed to see Mr G. T. Wilkinson respecting' the .Native Reserve which adjoins the endowment with a view of having the boundaries finally settled.The consideration of an application from Mr Wa!!cer for the surveyiug of the land was postponed, as also was one from Mr Picket*, offering to dispose of his interest in the lease of a property adjoining that of the Board.
The report of the gentlemen who lately visited the endowment was read. The report contained many valuable suggestions as to the best means of utilising the land, and it was decided that the same be on the table for consideration when the endowment is finally handed over. A vote of i hanks was accorded those gentlemen for their services. A letter from Mr Hollis, respecting his services during the late alterations, was read, and it was decided that he be recompensed for same.
A Visiting Committee consisting of Dv Kilgour and Mr Speight was appointed for tiie easuinp, month. A number of accounts were passed for payment, aud the meeting terminated.
