CHRISTCHURCH.
This day.
The City Council have decided to require the Tramway Company to show details and minutiso of every* new line proposed in future, before they will give their consent to its construction. With regard to Cathedral Square which the company, it is stated, wish to convert by an intricate system of siding into a mere tramway station, the Council considered it had no authority to give power over a public reserve in any way.
