It is understood that the Greytown section of the Wellington-Featherstone Railway will be opened in the middle of next month.

The Civil Service Commission have divided, two going to Auckland via Tauranga, the others going via Napier. After the visit to Auckland, they proceed to Nelson Hnd Blenheim. Robbery from an Hotel. The Wellington Hotel was broken into yesterday morning, and about £40 was abstracted. The police are investigating the matter. Fatal Drowning Case. A married woman named Jane Angus, aged 70, was found drowned yesterdayShe was last seen alive on Saturday night when she left her friend's house to proceed home. It is thought that she, being shortsighted, walked over the breastwork near to Oriental Bay. An inquest is being held.
