As this company is now approaching iti 12th anniversary, a few general facts about the mine and its history may ndt be uninteresting.' During the twelve years of its existence the company's operations have yielded 166,308 ounces of gold, and paid in dividends, £119,679 7s 6d. It is a notable fact that the directors have never found it necessary to declare a single call. Year by year the boundaries have been extended till at present the area of the ground is 80 acres, or about 240 men's ground. At present there are sixteen tributes working, employing 51 men, most of whom are making fair wages. The company's employes number 103—82 mine and 21 battdiy hands. During the past few months the number of tributers has greatly decreased, through the exhaustion of some of the sections, and from the fact that the company is working portions of the ground previously leased. Last year over 100 tributers were employed.. The annual meeting will take place iv June, when a great deal of information respeot* ing the mine williie placed in the hands of the shareholders.
