TIMARU.
This day. Another attsmptjd Suicide-
At Tiinaiu Geo. Schmidt was arrested for obtaining goods by false pretences. He
was found shortly after being locked up lying in a pool of blood. The sufferar was removed to the Hospital, where h« lies in a precarious condition. The only suggested cause for the act was that Schmidt bad been suffering for years from asthma, which was more than usually painful yesterday, and it is supposed that he attempted his life in a fit of desperation.
