Fbom a telegram in another column we learn that Tawbiao and the King natives repudiate all connection with that peculiar and self-deluded prophet, Te Whiti. In this they no doubt show their good judgment, as the ambiguous words and prophecies of the Maori Elijah bare very nearly resulted in another little war. Te Whiti has not only disgusted all Europeans by his nonsensical prattling, but his adherents are now deserting him " for fields and pastures new."
