MOANATAIRL.
In the Point Russell section of the mine the Creek level is still being pushed ahead through tight ground, and the reef is somewhat small, but the manager expects it to increase in size in driving, while the quarcz has the appearance bf becoming good remunerative dirt. Preparations are being made to commence stoping on the reef at the point where it yielded a few tons of excellent crushing dirt three or four weeks ago. The reef at this point is of good size aud has a very promising appearance, and t there is no doubt but that some good general dirt will be obtained. For some time past stoping has been done on a small leader running away from the main lode, but the stone taken from it has not yet yielded so well as the manager anticipated, so that operations has been suspended on it for the present. The Nonpareil cross* cut is going through a hard bar of country. .
