CHRISTCHURCH.
This day. The tramway is to discontinue running owing to a difficulty with the rails. Men are are at work trying to remedy the defect. The gale which blew yesterday was the heaviest felt for years, but no damage was done.
The cottage and furniture belonging to Stenning, carpenter, was destroyed by fire this morning. It was insured in the London and Lancashire for £200.
