England's Finance.

The Budget, In the House of Commons to-day, the Chancellor of the Exchequer delivered his budget speech. En the course of the same, he showed that the revenue for the past financial year amounted to £80,060,000, and the expenditure to £84,216,000. He estimates the revenue for the ensuing finaucial year at £81,560,000, and expenditure at £81,485,000.

To meet the past deficiency £6,000,000 of Exchequer Bills will be converted into terminable annuities. There will be no increase of taxation.

The "Wool Sales.

At the wool sales to-day 9,200 bales were offered, making a total of 181,300

catalogued since opening. The tone of the auctions contiuues firm. The average advances in the prices over last series are now 12|- per cent. London, March 10.
