Attempts on Russian Officials-
The Commission for the rectification of the Turo-Greek frontier, which has been sitting for some time past under the presidency of Safret Pasha, has failed to come to any understanding on the frontier question. The Greek and British Commissioner were unable to agree and the Greek Government has accordingly solicited the mediation of the Great Powers with the view to a settlement of the Turco-Hellenic frontier.
Bhots were fired to-day at two of the officials attached to the Bussian Embassy iv this city, and one person was rather seriously wounded. The motives of the would-be assassins are unknown. Bombay, March 1. The steamship Vingorla has founded off the coast near this port. The captain, chief pfflcer, engineers, and 100 of a native crew were drowned.
