HAWERA.
Cast night.
Captain Forteseue, with a detachment of 85 men from Opotiki, arrived in camp at 3 o'clock. The band went to meet them, and played them into camp. The natives have presented Colonel Roberta with one bullock, six pigs, 150 kits of potatoes, six kits peaches, 4 kits cabbages, three geese, 16 fowls, one turkey, two kits maize, and one can honey. The present was made by Pitu Wanua, on behalf of Te Whiti and Tohu. Col. Roberts thanked them.
