ANOTHER GROWL.
..(Per favor of the Erening Star.) ' . Sib,—The result of the deliberations ( of the Borough Council held yesterday mf ! asphalt &c. is another instance of what the South Ward may expect from the present Council—notwitustat ding the professions made by the lately-elected member, Mr Wilkinson. Why is so much money continually wasted in temporary drainage Ac, particularly in Grahamstown, where Mr Rawdoa and his staff are generally employed. When will the burgesses open their eyes and elect only purely local candidates to represent them. As a remedy I would suggest that a meeting of the burgesses of the South Ward be called for the purpose of requesting the three South Ward representatives to resign. It appears to me that nothing short of this will bring, them to their senses and show them that we are determined to have justice for the South Ward. Our footpaths, in wet weather are a disgrace. The 9-inch mains appear again to be lost sight of.—l am, &c, Buhgess. P.S.—What amount is the Borough in debt, and what proportion has been ex* I pended in Shortland. , B.
