A NUISANC.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sib,—Will you kindly inform me which of our governing bodies is responsible for the blocking up of the drain on the south side of .Richmond street, by the rail' way reclamation works, causing all the stagnant water to remain without any chance of escape. As this location is greatly used by the children of Shortland tor a play ground there, is the greatest danger of some fatal accident occuring by children falling into this cesspool. If it is allowed to remain any longer it will cause some contagions disease which will give the authorities more trouble than the remedying of the present evil. Trusting the above will be sufficient to awaken our representatives to a sense of their duty.—-lam, &c, •
Robust Fabb^il, South. Ward.
