Yesterday,
It was decided at the Wesleyan Confereuce to form the Upper Thames district into a new circuit, including Ohinemuri, Eatikati, Waihou, and Piako.
In the case of Meldrum v. Proudfoot, an action brought to recover damages by the representatives by man killed on the tramway, the jury returned a verdict for tho plaintiff for £350. The jury recom mend that men only should be employed as conductors.
