Yesterday. Tiie Government and the Wai* mate Plains. The Government take possession of the Waimate Mains at once, and have bad distributed amongst the natives printed notices to that effect. The Government have also decided that the Commission shall hear only complaints any native may have to make as to individual titles of any land, butanything relative to the confiscation will not be listened to.
