Thames Goldfield Hospital.

Yesterday afternoon the usual monthly meeting of the general committee was held at the Salutation Hotel. , Present— Rev. Y. Lush, R. Laishley, and S. J. Neill, with Messrs Murray, Renshaw, Ahier, Hudson, and Mulligan. The Rev. T. Lush, during the temporary absence of the President (Mr McCullough), occupied the Chair. Mr R. Hudson acted as Secretary, Mr Honiss owing to important private business having been granted leave. HOUSE COMMITTEE. The report of this committee referred to the appointment of Mr HalUdaj^as cook in place of Mrs Power, resigned, and Mrs Johnstone, of Auckland, in place of Mrs Lawrence as nurse in the female* ward. MBS POWEB. , The late cook wrote a very long letter, accusing the, dispenser of maladministration of the affairs of the hospital, and complaining of the unfair treatment given herself while cook to the institution, Mr McllUone moved that a committee be appointed to enquire into the charges contained in the letter. Mr Mulligan seconded. Mr Renshaw moved that the letter be received, which was seconded and carried. Mr Mcllhohe said he would refuse to act again on the hospital committee, because his motion was not agreed to. Several meujbers spoke upon the subject of Mrs Powers complaints, which had been before the committee for months. ANNUAL DBMONSTBATION. • i The sub committee,.re. a demonstration, 1 were requested to further consider the subject. . .
