CHRISTCHURCH.
Last night. Chinese Festivals. The Chinese at St. Albans celebrated the festival of Tin* Gee last night. They commenced with the discharge of a number of fireworks, followed by burning tapers and perfumed rashes, winding up with a sumptuous feast. Several Europeaas were present. At the Police Court today Daniel O'Brien, charged with forging the .name of John Foley to the cheque for £10, was committed for trial.
