NEW PLYMOUTH.
Last night. Jumcs Hall, hospital steward, charged with indecent assault, was auaiu arraigned. The jury be Mas tried before last week not agreeing to a verdict.. Several witnesses were examined, and the trial adjourned until tomorrow. At a meeting of the County Council held to consider its financial position, which, according to the report of tho committee it appeared there are assets, £1316 to meet liabilities of £4454, it was decided to wait upon Major Atkinson on his return, and represent to him that much of expenditure had been done on Government roads, and to see if he could assist them in the matter. .
