! The Annual meeting of the members of the Graljanislown Branch, H.A.C.B. Society, wag held on Monday evening last at the Hall, and was largely attended, the President, Mr P. Byrne in the Chair, The : liev. Father O'JloiUy, Chaplain, was also in attendance, and evinced a lively interest in the proceedings. The second annual report on the Friendly Hocieties of the Colony wos received from tho Befciatrar-General, the reading of which evoked some discussion. It was ultimately resolved that a Committee be appointed to go through the affair seriatim, and bring up a report at next" meeting. The lie tarns and Balance Sheet for the quarter wero read, and disclosed rather a satisfactory state of - affairs. The ,'Sick Fund lias a balance of £574 3s 2d to it* credit, and ' the 'Management Fund £272 lls'2d, after paying a funeral claim of £20 recently. The priucipal part of .the business, Tjz., the election of officers for., the ensuing term was then proceeded with', and resulted as follows:—President, Mr P. Treanor; V.P., Mr Smytli f'Treasurer, Mr Twohill;:Secretary,. Mr Landers; Warden, Mr McLellan; Guardian, Mr M. Tooher; Sick Visitor,- Mr T. Sptnlan; Surgeons, Drs Payne (Senior)' and H.uxtable.*' Sick pay to the amuuuc ot tb ius *m||( granted, and accounts for £21 2s bet wa» for payment. - ...
