Since the arrival of the Southern horses to compete at the Summer Kace Meeting, betting has been spirited, especially regarding the Cup and Steeplechase. The following were quotations last night:— Cup : 3 to 1 against Sinking Fund, 5 to 1 Templeton, 6 to 1 Maritana, 7 to lPinfire, U to 1 Lara, 6 to 1 Ariel, 7 to 1 Hippocampus, 100 to 10 Lady Elizabeth, 100 to 5 Gillie Callum, 100 to 6 Yatapa, 100 to 1 and to 5 against anything e*ltjie. Steeplechase : 5 to 2 against Agent, 5 to 2 Loneliand, 4 to 1 Sportsman, 6 to 1 Loch Lomond, 7 to 1 Grey Momu», 100 to 10 and to 5 anything else. Doubles Cup and Steeplechase: 100 to 8 against Sinking Find and Lonehand, 100 to 8 Sinking Fund and Agent, 100 to 5 any other way. . , Yesterday's Gallops. Maid of Honor did the* best gallop she has done since returning from the South, going twice round tho course at a fair pace, and moving much freer than she has done. Tim Whiffler did some useful work. Tatapa (stripped) did a good gallop twice round, but docs not appear up to the mark. Laertes did a. steady canter, and does not seem to have suffered from his voyage. Agent did a steady canter twice round, moving rather stiff. Yallance had Pinfire and Lara out, both : of them looking very fit and well. They went on a fair gallop twice round, moving free and well, the former especially being very ripe, and showing no bad effects from his voyage. Kay had Sinking Fund, Maritana, and Lonehand put. The mare went a steady gallop once round; moving free and well: she is very fit. Sinking Fund, with clothing on, went at a steady \ gallop. . His off fore-leg had a bandage od, and he appeared to go rather feelingly on it. Bay gave Lonehand a steady canter. Templeton did walking exercise. Lady Elizabeth and Lady Gertrude also did: walking exercise. I
