Sib,—ln answer to that foolish letter signed " John Bead " in yoor issue of yesterday, I must state most emphatically that I norer asked the Building Society's Secretary to let mo pay the premium, and I would return him the receipt. Indeed, I did not hare anything to do with the renewal of the policy, *■ my father did it for me, the secretary advising him I to - go to Mr Yeriion ai agent ' for tho Norwich Union, but §aid nothing either then or since about returning the receipt or, getting the policy endorsed. With reference to the latter part of the letter, I merely wanted the Society to lei me hare £1110 a, heing the balance of the last £50 I borrowed from them, and not all drawn, together with £15 of the £60 insurance money, leafing'with them £85 and the freehold 1 allotment which cost me £82 10s, at • security for about £70, ray ft

present indebtedness to them: the £35 to bo paid by them for timber with which I would erect another building at once on the allotment.
