At the Magistrate's Court to-day Dennis McCormack was committed for trial for stabbing James Flanagan and his wife. The members of the Press Gallerjr today presented a handsome walnut writing cabinet, bearing a suitable inscription to Mr E. T. Gillou in acknowledgement of his conduct as Chairman of th» gallery during the last two sessions. A complimentary address accompanied the gift. At the District Co«rt O'Connor v. Johnstdn for perjury comes on for hearing. At the JKeefion Magistrate's Court this week Johnston intends to prosecute O'Connor for perjury again.
