A telegram was reud at the Waste Lands Board meeting, stating that the natives in the Poverty Bay district were willing to pay a royalty if allowed to collect grass seed on the Pntutahi block. It was decided to invite tenders for the purchase of grass, and to acquaint the natives with tbat determination.
