Wellington, This day. After the Public Works Statement the Houso sat till half pa*t three this morning in Committee on the Property Tax Bill. A number of amendments were proposed, and divisions were taken, but all were npgatived until Mr Moss proposed an amendment to rate householders' property according to the value it would realise at auction, which was carried. Another amendment, proposed by Mr Swanson, to exempt shipbuilding plants, was also carried.
No other amendments were made.
