The attendance at Mrs Alexander's Concert last ni»hfc wns but moderate, notwithstanding that on excellent programme was provided. The opening pieco was a waltz, on the piano, played by Miss Ginn and Mrs Alexander, after which a pnrt song was rendered very fairly by Miss Coney, Miss Chillcott, Mr Airey, Mr Pulloine and other gentlemen. Miss Ferguson sang sweetly the little ballad " Alone," and «a 5 followed by Mr Coney in Wallace's song, "A Father's Love." Miss Ginn, in & jrery creditable wanner, played a fantasia from Lijrline. Miss Coney's song, " The Wood Nypiph's Cttli," was the best rendered piece iv the Jli-st part of tho programme. In the second part, Mrs Payg||!ung " Yashti," which was Iho best reSifsd gong on tho programme. An encore was demanded, when the sweet melody, " Eillarney," was given. The acuouipaniments were played lor Mrs I'nyue by Mrs J. JD, I>odd ia.a

very finished manner, and altogether Mrs Payne's son^s weiv tho grins of tho evening. A picno solo, by Mrs Alexander; " My Grandfather's Clock," by Mr Airoy, the accompaniment being played very creditably by Miss Airey, a very young lady; and a part > song and a chorus brought ll:e entertainment to a. close. A. number of tho holders of front Beat tickets remsincd for the dance, which was kept up with vigor for novcral hours.
