On Thursday next, 2000 trout will be sent to the South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society for distribution in the Mackenzie country. The society have over 4000 trout still left in gardens.

Mr D'Orsay Ogdon has become lessee of the Gaiety Theatre which is to be altered greatly and furnished with a dress circle. A company are playing opera bouffe. The opening piece played on Saturday night was rery pretty, the opera ncrer before being played in the colony, called the Daughter of Alcantra.
