Lest night. 6000 persons visited the Oriental Exhibition last week. Shortly before 9 o'clock last night, a fire broke out in a cottage situated at the back of E. Wilkins'st«re, Hereford street. The house was locked up, and the occupants had gone out. The fire originated in a kitchen, burning through the bottom of a door. The furniture and effects are insured in tho New Zealand office for £365. The house is believed to be insured, bat this if not yet positively known. '
