Thames Harbor Board.

The usual Fortnightly meeting of the Board waa held yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Present—Messrs J. Brown (Chairman), Leydon, McGowan, Wilson, Osborne and Head. APPLICATION FOE SEDUCTION. Mr Climo wrote applying for a reduction in the rent of his tailings allotment from £25 to £12 per annum. After some discussion it was decided to write to Mr Climo asking if he was prepared to spead a certain amount of money on the allotment in a given time. FOBESHOEE ALLOTMENTS. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Leydon, that the whole of the companies having allotments on the foreshore be required to take out their leases and pay their rent from the time the Board acquired the foreshore—the 14th June last, and that 60 days' grace be allowed the companies to pay up arrears. STONES. Two tenders were received for the purchase of certain squared stones, the property of the Harbor Board—from Hart and Horn at 6s per cubic yard, and W. Souter and Co. at 5s 3d per cubic yard. The first named tender was accepted. It was decided to refund Messrs Souter and Co. the cost of removing the stone from the foreshore. BOBBOW'ING POAVEEfi. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Leydon, that steps be taken to endeavour to increase the borrowing powers of the Board from £12,000 to £50,000, and that a letter be *ent to the members of the Thames asking their assistance in the matter. LABGE GBIDIEON. It was resolred that a committee consisting of Messrs Eead, Osborne, and the Chairman be appointed to decide on the most suitable site for erecting r gridiron to be used for repairing small coasting craft. NOTICE OF MOTION. Ths Chairman gave notice that at next sitting of the Board, he would move that the Board meetings be held once a month. This concluded the business.
